We continue on our quest to showcase some of the personalities behind Learning Evolution. Meet Andi Matthews, Sales Director at Learning Evolution, who is involved in the product development, operations, marketing, account management and customer service.
An experienced sales leader and manager, Andi is passionate about work as well as finding the right work-life balance.
We asked Andi to share a bit more about herself.
What do you enjoy the most about your job?
I truly enjoy the partnerships and friendships I have made with our clients over the years. They are like family and I would do anything for them. I also love that family grows and taking on new clients is thrilling and ever-changing!
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever heard?
“Never. Never. Never give up” – Thanks Scott / Winston Churchill
If you could pick up a new skill in an instant, what would it be?
To remember the names of people I meet, the first time I meet them. Uggghhhh, I am the worst at remembering names!
What is the last book you read?
The Quest to Digest by Mary Corcoran. I read this book to my six-year-old daughter (Addie) and my four-year-old son (Cole). The book describes what happens to your food after you eat. Did you know that your small intestines are 20 feet long and your large intestines are five feet long?! My kids know where their food goes, and what it does for their body.
What are you passionate about?
I LOVE helping other people! Maybe that’s why I am now on the training side of things.
At my previous employer, PepsiCo, I was co-chair of their community outreach program in San Diego. We provided backpacks filled with food and toiletries to the homeless. We also adopted two families over Christmas, painted a school in need, and much more. I currently spend quite a bit of time volunteering at my kid’s school and participating in walks for causes.
