Meet our team
Patricia is a training and education experience design professional, with a particular focus on digital learning. With a background that spans WordPress development to business analysis and marketing operations management, she offers unique insight that is infused into the training products on which she works.
In this edition of meet our team, we asked Patty – our very own digital learning guru – to share a few insights on her role and her interests:
What do you enjoy the most about your job?
Collaboration. For example, white-boarding with a team to map out how to leverage a technology system to deliver personalized learning or laying out content with the intent of understanding how best to curate it for a learning experience.
I really enjoy distilling complex information into bite-sized, easy-to-comprehend and synthesize nuggets.
What’s the coolest thing you’re working on right now?
The complex nature of understanding how to develop data analysis techniques based on business requirements at the enterprise level is fascinating.
The applications of supply chain data, including applications of AI and blockchain are amazing. It is even being used to combat slave labor. I anticipate that it will open up unforeseen new ways to conduct business.
What are you passionate about?
I am a TEDx organizer because I am passionate about architecting experiences of sharing and interaction that ignite opportunities for collaboration that result in real world change.
The impact that I’ve seen is as mind-blowing as it is unpredictable. Attending TEDFest this year with 500 organizers from 60 countries was outstanding and reminded me that there is hope for tackling the big problems that face us – and renewing feelings of trust and unity.
If you could visit anywhere in the world you’ve never been, where would you go?
I’ve been fortunate to have been able to travel extensively but there are still so many places I would like to visit.
I am fascinated by the new digital nomad visa offered out of Estonia. Nomads who obtain the visa will be able to legally reside in Estonia for 365 days, and will also be entitled to a Schengen visa which allows them to visit member countries for up to 90 days. Their start-up community is also vibrant.
I think it would be an amazing community to visit.
